June 16, 2011 - Markham District Energy (MDE) held an awards ceremony in the Town of Markham Council Chambers to recognize the 14 inaugural recipients of the Markham District Energy Sustainability Bursary. Dec 3, 2010 - In celebration of its 10th Anniversary, Markham District Energy (MDE) announced the details of its annual Markham District Energy Sustainability Bursary program for graduating Markham secondary school students. Students and school representatives from Markham's 14 high schools joined MDE, guest speaker and author Tom Rand, Markham Councillors, and other guests at the Markham Civic Centre for the event.
